New Location for LeMay Museum in Tacoma, WA

The Lemay Museum - "America's Car Museum"
On June 2, 2012, the LeMay Museum - home of Tucker No. 1007 - opened in its spectacular new location near the Tacoma Dome and the Museum of Glass in downtown Tacoma, WA.  See the LeMay website for more information.

UPDATE 6/23/12 4:46 PM: We're told that Tucker No. 1007 actually remains at the LeMay Family Foundation's collection at the former Marymount Military Academy in Tacoma, WA.  We apologize for the confusion.

  1. This information is not correct. While the LeMay, America's Car Museum did open it is NOT the new location for the LeMay Family Collection. That collection and Tucker #1007 will continue to be headquartered at the Marymount location in Spanaway WA.

Tucker #1007 may be loaned to America's Car Museum on certain occasions.

Originally the LeMay family had a larger role in the new Museum but over the years they were pushed out of controlling roles. Many of the cars donated by the family were sold off only to be bought back by the family.

The new Museum is a wonderful place to see cars but don't forget to stop by the LeMay Family Museum if you get in the area. It is not as polished and more hands on. Nancy and Doug LeMay spend a lot of time there and are wonderful people. Tucker #1007 is on display most of the time.

  2. I just saw Tucker 1007 today at the Lemay Museum in Tacoma, WA, where she has been given star billing. She is the queen of the top floor, center stage. And what an amazing auto she is
